Classes & Workshop Outlined

Our programs are designed to meet the developmental stage of children as well as the creative potential they could meet when set free with their own imagination. Projects are not guaranteed to be finished at the end of each class as individuals move at different speeds. Our instructors will teach techniques and inspire students with information about artists however the creative process is for the child. You will be pleasantly surprised at what your child will create!

Youth programs are a range of introductory programs for those that are just getting into exploring a new form of art to an intermediate level for those that would like to develop their skills further. Our instructors will spend time with each student teaching them about the tools, techniques and helping to guide whatever questions each individual may have to help them in their creative process. Open studio time is available with a monthly membership if individuals would like to work on your own projects as well.

There is an opportunity for this age to become part of the Youth Arts Group in our studio to help design new up and coming classes and work on projects for our local community. Contact Andrea Balmer directly if interested in this great opportunity!

Please refer to class listings for specific program outlines.

Usually designed as a weekly hands on class to enjoy together, this is both an exploration of new art for your toddler and a social time for adults. We encourage all types of families to come, including grandparents!

Please refer to class listings for specific program outlines.

We also have a program that is designed where you and your older child(ren) can book a private session with one of our instructors to do a family session together. Complete a project of your choice in either painting or printmaking. A great surprise project for someone in your house or a nice piece to do together.

Our adult programs are a variety of classes that will meet both different skill levels and interests. The schedule changes each month and instructors rotate as well to keep those that are coming back to the studio often engaged and ready for learning.

Our instructors are local Muskoka artists who are keen to share their talents and all have a like-minded philosophy of letting individual creativity shine, allowing our students to learn new skills in an open and encouraging environment. Please refer to the Artist profile section for current teachers.

In the workshops you will find specialty topics that have been requested that may require more specific equipment or materials or an artist is only available for a short period of time. Be sure to register quickly as spots are limited for all classes!

Every first Friday of the month join us for Art Night which is our variation of a social event to explore a different form of art each time, hang out with your friends and BYOB at the studio 6:30-8:30pm. Space is limited!

Please refer to class listings for specific program outlines.

These art-based day camps will be active day camps for those looking for exciting creative camps in the centre of town to keep their children happy and active from 9-4 each day. Our camp staff will be focusing the program on art instruction while also making sure that children have enough time to be outside, active and keep moving with a variety of games and activities. Art projects will change each day and depending on registered numbers groups will be broken into smaller groups for project focus. We have a number of opportunities locally with parks, yoga and even local trips to the pool planned.

Spaces are limited- daily registration available.
